Notes from a Child Psychologist

State of Emergency in Child Mental Health

Dr. Tasha Brown Season 1 Episode 1

All across the United States, children are suffering from mental health concerns about their safety in schools to social anxiety - "Mental health challenges have exacerbated in the last two years, and this trend was on the rise before the pandemic." Now declared as a National State of Emergency, I want to dedicate my first episode to sharing three ways parents and caregivers can support children during this time.

This episode is essential because one meaningful conversation with your child can make a world a difference as they navigate today's world. This podcast is a place parents and caregivers can access tools, tips, and resources for improving their children's mental health.

By the end of this episode, you will clearly understand how to engage with your child, listen with intention, and create safe places for them to explore and share their feelings.
