Technology, namely portable devices, has impacted every industry imaginable while giving us unprecedented access to information. Through these advancements, our children have learned online during a pandemic, connected to relatives in different parts of the world, and gained knowledge at a speed that we could have only imagined 20 years ago.

As children become more connected to devices, parents and caregivers often ask me how these devices and the media that children consume on them impact their mental health.
In this episode, we discuss screen time through the lens of mental health for children. We'll cover screen time recommendations based on The American Psychological Association's research for different age groups and strategies to help parents and caregivers monitor and control access to what their children are consuming.
